On to the sports…
Back to building on to the ‘25 Draft Board. After the College Football Season, I’ll update the board order…
Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State
Cam Skattebo is from Rio Linda, California, about 25 minutes north of Sacramento. The 2020 Rio Linda HS graduate had a prolific high school career with 6,192 rushing yards and 69 TDs, winning the Sacramento Bee’s Offensive Player of the Year as a junior. Skattebo decided to stay close to home as he initially went to Sacramento State in the FCS. After a freshman campaign of 520 yards on 57 carries that earned him 3rd Team All-Big Sky Conference, the Sacramento native broke out as the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year in ‘22. As a sophomore Skattebo averaged 105.6 yards per game and recorded a 1st Down or TD on 40.3% of his touches. The 5’11” tailback transferred to Arizona State in ‘23 and was a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award for the nation’s most versatile player. As a junior, Skattebo rushed for 783 yards, had 286 receiving yards, and combined to score 10 TDs. He even threw a TD pass and punted 8 times at a net 42.3 yards per punt. Skattebo has been the Sun Devils MVP this season as he’s rushed for 1,074 yards and gained 448 receiving yards while scoring 13 total TDs. The senior RB is a tough, do-it-all type and should find a role on an NFL team come next fall.
Makhi Hughes, RB, Tulane
Makhi Hughes is from Birmingham, Alabama. Despite rushing for over 2,700 yards and scoring 29 TDs in high school, Hughes was a 3-star prospect rated the 85th-best RB of his class. He decided to play for the Green Wave, but his collegiate career got off to a rough start when an injury forced him to miss his entire freshman season. In ‘23, Hughes was asked to replace RB Tyjae Spears as he played alongside QB Michael Pratt. The Green Wave went 9-2 last season as Hughes rushed for 1,378 yards and 7 scores. This season, Hughes has taken on an even bigger role with Pratt in the NFL. Hughes’ 1,291 rushing yards this season currently ranks 5th in all of the nation and he’s found the endzone a total of 17 times. Since Halloween, Hughes has found the endzone twice in each of Tulane’s 3 games. After blowing out Navy in Annapolis, Tulane will need to finish strong against Memphis in Week 14 and then win their Conference Championship Game to have any shot at a Top 12 bid. If they were to do so, Hughes would play a huge part in it.
Jamaal Pritchett, WR, South Alabama
Jamaal Prichett is from Jackson, Alabama. A star at Jackson High School, the only thing that scared College teams away from recruiting Prichett may have been his size. The 5’8” WR began his collegiate career with Tuskegee in DII Football where as a freshman he caught 27 passes for 488 yards (18.1 yards per catch). Jamaal Prichett then decided to walk-on to South Alabama in ‘22. As a sophomore, he played a bit on special teams as a backup returner before earning a bigger role on offense in ‘23. During his second year with the Jaguars, Prichett had 57 catches with 883 yards and 8 TDs. Thus far this season in 10 games, Jamaal Prichett is having his best year yet. His 73 catches for 940 receiving yards lead the Sun Belt Conference and he’s also scored 7 TDs. Prichett is an explosive playmaker who could be used as a punt returner and slot WR in the NFL.
Mike Green, Edge, Marshall
Mike Green is from Williamsburg, Virginia. In high school, he played linebacker and tight end for Lafayette HS. The 3-star recruit received his fair share of offers from the likes of Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Kansas State, and Pitt before choosing to play for Virginia. As a Cavalier in ‘21, Mike Green played in 6 games but was granted Redshirt status as he picked up his 1st career sack. At the start of the ‘22 season, Mike Green was expected to be primed for a breakout role but by mid-September, it was announced he was dismissed from the program. After not playing for 2 seasons at Virginia, Green transferred to Marshall in ‘23. As a Redshirt Freshman, Green made 43 tackles with 4.5 sacks. This season Green has broken out entirely as he leads the nation in sacks with 15. In November alone, Green has 7 sacks in 3 games. A menacing speed rusher off the edge, Green still has plenty of eligibility left if he decides to stay in school, or he can ride this excellent play into a Day 1 or Day 2 pick come next spring.
Michael Coats Jr., CB, Nevada
Michael Coats Jr. is from Biloxi, Mississippi. He grew up playing Pop Warner football, CYO basketball, and Little League baseball, but never played sports in high school. His senior year, 2 weeks before the start of the season he quit because “I was skinny and everything, and they didn’t take me seriously.” It wasn’t until, “After graduating (high school), I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I got a job at an arcade and that's probably the best thing that happened to me 'cause that's the reason why I'm here. I was, like, 'Nah, I can't do this much longer.’” After a full year of working out, Coats decided to try out for East Central Community College’s Football team. He made the team in ‘20, played in 5 games, broke up 6 passes, and had 5 sacks. He told Nevada Sports Net, “I was a starter the first game I played in. I was nervous. It was crazy because they told me I was going to be a starter probably three days before the game…I didn't really know the Xs and Os. I still had a good year, but I was just out there playing off of athleticism." A bit more comfortable as a sophomore, Coats picked off his 1st 2 collegiate passes in ‘21. He received an offer to play for LA Tech in ‘22 and played spring ball for the Bulldogs, but after a coaching change decided to go back to East Central for one more season. After 3 years at East Central, the 5’10” CB transferred to Nevada in ‘23. He played in all 10 games for the Wolf Pack and came down with an interception while earning the team’s Fireman Award (given for special performance under fire). This season, Coats Jr. has taken his game to a whole other level as he’s picked off 4 passes and broken up 10 more. Coats Jr. is one of the highest-rated coverage CBs in College Football and is in consideration for All-American recognition. Not bad for a walk-on who never played high school football.

Money Williams, G, Montana
Money Williams is from Oakland, California. He led Oakland High School to their first-ever state championship while averaging 17.4 points his senior season. It’s quite impressive considering Oakland HS has Damian Lillard as an alum. As a freshman at Montana last season, Money Williams was just a handful of games into his collegiate career as Montana was playing Nevada when he found out about the passing of his father. Williams was forced with the difficult decision of trying to play through the tragedy as in his very next game he scored a then-career-high 21 points against San Jose State. Money Williams was averaging 15 points per game when he got injured a week before Christmas last season and he only played 5 minutes in one game for the rest of the way. This past October 12, less than one year after the passing of his father, Money Williams’ mother passed away in her sleep. The sophomore guard stepped away from the Montana team as he and his older sister Mo'Ney had to take responsibility for their 3 younger siblings. Williams returned to Montana for the start of their season and got off to an understandable slow start. However, last Wednesday against the Tennessee Volunteers was an entirely different story as Money Williams scored a career-high 30 points in Knoxville. As nice as that may sound, what happened off the court in Knoxville is what can make sports great. When Tennessee Volunteer fans heard of Money Williams’ story, his family’s GoFundMe was shared on social media. Their initial goal, which was set up in October was $75k. After Thursday night’s game, the GoFundMe reached $100k and after this weekend it’s currently at $131,331 & counting. To help out Money Williams and his family, you can click here. Montana’s left-handed point guard is a tough young man with plenty of scoring potential and hopefully, he can build off his game at Tennessee.
Hansel Emmanuel, F, Austin Peavy
Hansel Emmanuel is from Las Mina, Dominican Republic, which is about 15 minutes from Santo Domingo. His father Hansel Salvador Donato was a professional Dominican Basketball player so he grew up around the sport, but his favorite was baseball. Unfortunately, at 6 years old, Hansel Emmanuel lost his left arm when a cinderblock fell and trapped his arm for 2 hours. An amputation was required and he was hospitalized for 6 months. With his baseball dreams no longer an option, he called the life-altering injury a blessing because it forced him to follow his dad’s path into basketball. After understandably struggling to balance while running, Emmanuel grew to 6’ tall when he was 11, started attending basketball camps in the US as a teenager, and dunked his first basketball at age 14. After going viral on social media for playing streetball in Santo Domingo, Hansel Emmanuel eventually moved to the US in ‘21 as he received a scholarship to play for Life Christian Academy. As a senior at Life Christian Academy, Emmanuel averaged 25.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 3.4 blocks per game while winning not only a state title but an ESPY. Out of high school, Hansel Emmanuel joined the Northwestern State Demons’ where he came off the bench to average 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 20 games. He then transferred to Austin Peavy as Northwestern State’s HC Corey Gipson took the job with the Governors. Last season, Emmanuel played in 30 games averaging 1.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. This season the 6’6” forward has already made 3 starts for Austin Peavy and Emmanuel is averaging 5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. A very cool story of perseverance.
Otega Oweh, G, Kentucky
Otega Oweh was born in Union, New Jersey, and grew up in Newark. His older brother, Odafe, played linebacker at Penn State and is currently leads the Baltimore Ravens in sacks with 7 on the season. Otega Oweh attended high school at Blair Academy in Northwestern NJ where he was a 4-star prospect. His first stop out of high school was down in Oklahoma with the Sooners. As a freshman in ‘22-’23, Oweh primarily came off the bench to average 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game. In ‘23-’24 as a sophomore, Oweh became a starter for the Sooners as he averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 38% from beyond the arc. This past spring, Oweh decided to transfer to Kentucky. He chose the Wildcats because of their “rich history of basketball” and his favorite UK alum is John Wall. The 6’4” guard has already made his presence felt on his new team as he is averaging 15.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game. His best play with Kentucky thus far was picking the pocket of Cooper Flagg and then drawing a foul in the final seconds of Kentucky’s win over Duke.
Ante Brzovic, F, Charleston
Ante Brzovic is from Zagreb, Croatia. Growing up, he played in the Croatian Junior Leagues before moving to the United States as a college freshman. His first school in America was Southeastern Oklahoma State, a DII school in the Great American Conference. While playing for the SOS Savages, Brzovic averaged 17.8 points and 11 rebounds per game. This earned him the GAC Freshman of the Year and set him up for a jump to DI Hoops at Charleston. As a sophomore at Charleston, the 6’10” stretch forward averaged 11.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in ‘22-’23. His breakout game came against the #1 UNC Tar Heels when scored 15 points in just his 2nd game in DI. As a junior last season, Brzovic led the team in rebounding (6.3) and was 2nd in scoring (12.1). The Charleson Cougars have made the NCAA Tournament in each of the last 2 seasons and Ante Brzovic is the only returning starter of the program. The left-handed big man has gotten off to a hot start this season, including drilling a Double-OT buzzer-beater in the Cougars’ win over FAU. In 4 games this season, the senior is averaging 27.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting 64% from beyond the arc.
