Germie Bernard, WR, Alabama
Germie Bernard is from Las Vegas, Nevada. He attended Liberty High School, where he was named the Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year in his senior year. After originally planning to go to Washington University, his first stop in college was at Michigan State because the Huskies made coaching changes. As a true freshman with the Spartans, Bernard sparingly played, catching 7 passes for 128 yards and 1 TD. He decided to give the new Washington coaching staff a chance in ‘23, as he transferred to the Huskies. As a sophomore under Kalen DeBoer, Bernard caught 34 passes for 419 yards and 2 TDs, while chipping in with another 13 carries for 43 yards and 2 TDs. When DeBoer took the ‘Bama job in ‘24, Bernard followed his coach to the Tide. As a junior in ‘24, Germie Bernard led ‘Bama in receptions with 50 as he produced 794 receiving yards and 2 TDs. This season, the senior is ‘Bama’s most consistent playmaker. He’s caught 48 passes for 676 receiving yards and 6 TDs, while chipping in with 16 carries for 97 yards and two scores on the ground. Bernard is a slick route runner with YAC ability. Entering the season, Bernard was projected as a nice complementary option for an NFL WR group; however, he’s developed into a Day 2 draft playmaker that may start as a rookie.
A’Mauri Washington, DT, Oregon
A’Mauri Washington is from Detroit, Michigan, but he moved to Arizona for high school. A 4-star prospect out of Chandler HS, Washington saw plenty of offers from all over the country as the state’s best defensive lineman. As a true freshman with Oregon in ‘23, Washington saw limited playing time on a crowded defensive line group. His defensive snaps took a bump in ‘24 as Washington played in all 14 games with the Ducks, compiling 10 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, 14 total pressures generated, and 2 pass deflections. This season, Washington has started every game for Oregon. In 10 games with the Ducks in ‘25, the junior defensive tackle has 23 tackles, 3 TFLs, 1 sack, 5 pass deflections, and has generated 7 QB Hurries. A’Mauri Washington may not have the experience and production of others in this draft class, but there aren’t too many guys with the pass-rush potential of the 330 lbs. lineman. Depending on how the Ducks’ season plays out, and if Washington can contribute to a playoff run, the DT still has another year of eligibility left or he can declare for the NFL Draft this spring.
Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State
Chris Johnson is from Eastvale, California. He starred at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, where he played a bit of all three phases of football well, as a DB, WR, and returner. As a true freshman at San Diego State in ‘22, Johnson contributed off the bench and was named by the team as the most outstanding freshman. During his sophomore season, Johnson saw an increase in snaps on defense and was named the SDSU Special Teams Player of the Year for his excellent effort on kick coverage teams. As a junior in ‘24, Johnson earned a starting role and was picked as an all-Mountain West honorable mention. Johnson finished ‘24 with 67 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and an interception. This season, Johnson is on his way to stardom as he’s picked off 3 passes and returned two for TDs. At this point in the season, QBs are avoiding the senior CB as he has one of the best pass coverage grades in the nation. At 6’ tall, high IQ, and speedy, Chris Johnson will likely climb up NFL Draft boards as he’s not only great in coverage, but is not afraid to lay down the hammer in the run game.
Michael Trigg, TE, Baylor
Michael Trigg is from Tampa, Florida. He attended Carrollwood Day High School, where he averaged over 20 points per game in basketball and was a nightmare matchup as a TE on the gridiron. Trigg’s first stop in college was at USC. With the Trojans in ‘21, Trigg played sparingly as he caught 7 passes for 109 yards and a score. He transferred to Ole Miss in ‘22. In two seasons playing under Lane Kiffin, Trigg caught 21 passes for 221 yards and 4 TDs as a backup TE. Michael Trigg hit the transfer portal one last time in ‘24, landing with Baylor. As a redshirt junior last season, Trigg earned 2nd Team All-Big 12 recognition as he caught 30 balls for 395 yards and 3 TDs. This season, Trigg has improved upon his breakout season with Baylor, as he already has 43 catches for 649 yards and 6 TDs. Michael Trigg is a matchup nightmare and has the hands of a natural WR.
Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati
Jake Golday is from Arlington, Tennessee. Unheralded as a recruit at Arlington High School, Golday's collegiate career began at Central Arkansas. In his 3 seasons competing in the D1 subdivision, Golday redshirted in ‘21, was a backup in ‘22, and started in ‘23. During his 26 games at Central Arkansas, the linebacker had over 100 tackles, 6 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. He transferred to Cincinnati in ‘24. As a redshirt junior making the leap to the Big 12, Golday finished with 58 tackles, 7.5 TFLs, 2 forced fumbles, and 1.5 sacks. This season, Jake Golday has earned multiple Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week awards and was named the conference’s Student-Athlete of October. In 10 games this season, the senior linebacker has 93 tackles, 4 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, and has graded out as above-average in coverage. Jake Golday is a sure tackler in the run game and can be effective defending the pass. He’ll likely be a mid-round pick next spring as a developmental linebacker that can contribute in special teams.
Here’s a quick bit about five College Basketball players this season…
Neoklis Avdalas, SF, Virginia Tech
Neoklis Avdalas was born in Athens and grew up in Kalamata, Greece. His father, Dimitris Avdalas, played professional basketball in Europe. Neoklis Avdalas represented Greece in the FIBA U20 EuroBasket and spent two seasons playing in the Greek HEBA A1 League. Playing against grown men as an 18-year-old, Avdalas averaged 7.7 points and 2.7 rebounds last season with Peristeri BC. Avdalas was named the #2 international newcomer of this 2025 recruiting class and decided to come stateside to play for Virginia Tech. The Greek point forward has had an excellent start to his Hokie career, averaging 18.3 points, 7.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. At 6’10”, Avdalas has incredible guard skills for his height. His game is nearly identical to Luka Doncic, which is why he’s already been gifted the nickname “Greek Luka.” Avdalas has stated his goal is to be an NBA Draft Lottery pick in ‘26. Getting Virginia Tech back into the March Madness Tournament for the first time since ‘22 would help his cause.
Ebuka Okorie, PG, Stanford
Ebuka Okorie is from Nashua, New Hampshire. He was the state’s high school Gatorade Player of the Year last season. While attending Brewster Academy during his senior season, Okorie averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game, while shooting 39% from three-point range. A 4-star recruit, Okorie chose to play for Stanford. Last week in his first three games with the Cardinals, the freshman guard averaged 25.3 points and 3 steals per game. While the season has only just begun, his scoring average is in the top 10 in the nation, which proves the potential of just how deep this freshman class is. Ebuka Okorie is more of a combo guard than a traditional point. He has very quick hands on defense, has the green light to shoot from deep, and seems to be a good finisher when attacking the rim.
Caleb Wilson, PF, North Carolina
Caleb Wilson is from Atlanta, Georgia. He attended high school at Holy Innocents Episcopal School, where he was named the 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year for the Peach State while winning the 2025 private school state title. As a high school senior, Wilson averaged 21.7 points, 11.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.6 blocks, and 2.1 steals per game. He participated in both the McDonald’s All-American Game and Jordan Brand Classic, including putting up 28 points with six rebounds in the latter. The 5-star recruit is only 4 games into his tenure at North Carolina and he’s already shown plenty of flashes of stardom. Thus far, the freshman power forward is averaging 20 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game. He’s one of the most electrifying dunkers in college and always a threat for a put back slam.
Tucker DeVries, SG, Indiana
Tucker DeVries is from Waukee, Iowa. In his senior year at Waukee High School, DeVries won the Mr. Basketball award for the state while leading his team to a state title. His collegiate career began at Drake University. As a freshman in ‘21-’22, DeVries was awarded the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year while averaging 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. The sharpshooter would spend two more seasons at Drake, leading them to two March Madness appearances, and winning the Larry Bird Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year in consecutive seasons while averaging 20 points per game on 37% shooting from beyond the arc. For his senior season last year, Tucker DeVries transferred to West Virginia, but was limited to playing just 8 games with the Mountaineers due to a shoulder injury. Tucker DeVries is healthy again and now playing for Indiana. The newest Hoosier great shooter has been lethal in his first 3 games, hitting 12 of 22 from beyond the arc to average 19 points per game. DeVries is one of the top 3-pointer shooters in college and could likely become a rotational player in the NBA. For now, he’ll try to get the Hoosiers back into March Madness after a two-year hiatus.
Nate Bittle, C, Oregon
