Level XIV | Considerate Comments | Yanks & Jets Banter | Critiquing The Critics (Spaceballs) | YouTube Rabbithole
Alright @YouTheReader,
In ‘24, His or Her Words, Not Mine has Levels by Avicii on in the background. It’s a happy song so I figured that would be better to throw up on people’s social media timelines every Thursday. If you ever find anything funny on the internet, have a story of your own you want to share, have your own insight on your favorite sports team, or even a Guinness recommendation, whatever it may be, please feel free to shoot over a text, direct message on social media, or email WeekToWeekNotes@gmail.com. You all have no idea how helpful you all are with this on Thursday’s pieces and just in general, it’s greatly appreciated!
The vocal sample to this tune comes from Etta James’ “Something’s Got a Hold on Me”, originally sung in 1962.
Moving on…
Oh yeah, with His or Her Words, Not Mine….
Large Font italics are readers like you.
The small font is me.
Considerate Comments
Please hang in there @spacecowboy0144 🫡. At the time, I was having sorta a weird day and this comment had me cracking up. This might be up there in the running for comment of the year.
These were some considerate comments left on last week’s His or Her Words, Not Mine. It goes to show that people can use the Internet both ways. Much better than last week, thanks!

Imagine how awkward Hal would look trying to do this?
Haha he seems cool and the type willing to spend on players. Hal would’ve tried offering the Bleacher Creatures French & Italian wine.
Yup
Shocked they won that
Hell yeah! We’ll take it.

They should sign Soto for 20 years
Soto wearing a backwards hat might be the coolest thing a Yankee has done since Jeter.
Yes - just don’t let Buck Showalter see it.
(@YouTheReader As soon as I saw the year 2026 I nearly fainted. Holy shit, that’s too futuristic for me to think about. Haason Reddick is from Camden, New Jersey, so this is a homecoming for him. He played safety and RB for Haddon Heights High School before going to college at Temple. Reddick was the 13th Pick of the ‘17 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. When he first entered the NFL, the Cardinals misused him as a middle linebacker for his first 3 seasons. Entering the ‘20 season, Arizona chose not to give Reddick his 5th-year option as he was considered to be a bit of a bust, but the Cardinals did move him to pass rusher that season as he picked up 12.5 sacks. Thought to be a 1-year revelation, Reddick signed a 1-year deal with the Carolina Panthers in ‘21. His former Temple head coach, Matt Rhule, continued to have him rush the passer and Reddick had 11 more sacks. The Philadephia Eagles then signed Haason Reddick to a 3-year deal in ‘22 and in his 2 years with the Eagles, he had 27 sacks. He is one of the game’s premier speed rushers.)
He’ll be 30 by season but has double-digit sacks each of the last 4 years. In the final year of his contract.
Let’s go!!
And they get a comp pick if they don’t resign him.
I kinda think should be an Olympic Sport and these guys are legendary.
Haha that would be an entertaining event for sure. Great volley
We are here
Haven’t seen that, funny scene. JFK pickups must’ve been a hassle.
lol - this is what I meant to send… We are here.
Didn’t know that’s where this GIF originated.
The best line ever.

Let’s go !!!
Breece Hall is awesome
He’s the man, I hope they bring in another stud RB in the draft so he stays fresh.
I’ve heard them linked to Zeke a lot too. I would take him. And he would be a great addition to the long list of past-their-prime great running backs to play for the Jets.
He could be a good fit as a pass blocker and has decent hands for passing downs, wouldn’t mind it.
I would like it and I still think Izzy can be pretty good.
That’s true, forgot about Izzy. That’s a shame about Sevy.
Thomas - I would not recommend doing the is with a Guinness - you may be banned from Ireland.
I could never disrespect a proper pint like that.

Yikes
Very true, it’s only 1 series in March but they did sweep in Houston with Judge going 2 for 16. Not bad.
Better than 1-3 (which I thought) and I think the “rest guys” philosophy has changed. Play your best players as often as you can. Great start !!!!
10 seconds in - you can hear “change-up”. Seems like only when guys are mic’d up. Is that intentional?
Must be the intercom pitch thing in their hat. I think SS/2B/CF have it.
It was cool, and it was right every time. Can’t imagine ESPN knew it was happening? No team would sign up for that.
Mets gonna Met. Yeesh.
Brutal, no way their fan base is going to be for that all year lol
The Mets are just hilarious
And Yanks are awesome. Good seeing you guys today - Happy Easter.
Happy Easter… Drew, I still can’t believe the tree robbed that bomb to dead center.
The grey monster is always a killer. Happy Easter guys.
lol

Angel Reese came to play
Unlike me at my intramural game
Oh boy.

Stanton?
I guess Mike still draws lol
AZ a potential trade partner? Anthony Volpe is awesome btw.
He is a West Coast guy. Volpe last night was the first of many 4 hit games.
Awesome!!
Haha true fan!
Wow
She’s changing sports. By far most known player of March Madness. I really hope they win it all.
They have to. She was amazing last night.
Gonna be a great “The Decision II” show on ESPN.
Yikes. I feel bad for that kid, too much pressure.
Yup

Off-season work. 81% mid-range is insane.
Insane % and that’s just one workout. Wild that she’s probably had better.
Judge heating up. Yanks just walked a guy to load the bases with 2 outs in the 11 - cause all AZ have left to hit are pitchers….And we struck him out - let’s go !!!!
Just keep winning, 6-1 for the home opener
Hell yea !!
This is wild
Hockey players are a different breed. The refs moving the gloves so they can fight is hilarious.
Awesome !!
I love how the last couple of dudes were just like “Alright, guess it’s me against you.” Hockey is an insane sport… And glad to see Judge got it going today.
This is true (when winning of course!!!)
The vibes in the Bronx on Friday are going to be immaculate.
Critiquing the Critics (Spaceballs)
Today’s Critiquing the Critics is Spaceballs. I don’t think a movie was referenced this week and @SpaceCowboy0144’s funny comment made me think of this 1987 film. My grandparents had it on DVD so I remember watching this a ton of times with my siblings, cousins, and grandparents as a kid. This was rated PG, nowadays they’d probably make it Rated R, but times were different. After doing a bit of research on the movie, it’s interesting that this movie got the blessing from George Lucas as long as they didn’t merchandise the spoof characters. That makes sense. (Source: Mental Floss)
Let’s see what the critics had to say…
I couldn’t imagine growing up when Star Wars was brand new. That must’ve been iconic so 80s kids love this movie and for good reason.
Well, if you bat .300 you’re probably going heading to Cooperstown.
I concur with Brian Webster. Kids can laugh at this type of movie for its silliness and parents could get a kick out of it because of all the jokes that go over the kids’ heads.
