@YouTheReader we’ll skip the whole intro paragraph and get to the point. Whatever is on your mind, sports, music, movies, shows, life, etc. There are so many of you die-hard fans of all things who know what you're talking about, so this Thursday spot could only help. I love Thursday's spot because in a way it’s a reset of the week in Week to Week Notes.
@YouTheReader your default setting for His or Her Words, Not Mine is a team/sport/topic “fan insider.” All you have to do is send over a resume, cover letter, a form of ID, and 3 references. If you wish to come up with your own @Name, I’ll run with that so that other @YouTheReaders could also start to get to know your style. Either way, I won’t tell no one your name. Unless you want your name on Week to Week Notes.
My Favorite Tweeter
In response to last week:

@BrooklynNets pls fix. This is what he’s looking for…
Will NBA free agents look past this?!?!? Only time will tell.
That 70’s Show is so underrated. Also love a good Punk’d reference.

**UNDISCLOSED BAR/PUB IN THE CITY**
That place stinks (they actually said something else but we gotta keep it PG-13 lol)…
😂😂😂 The pint was subpar.
If you’re down here it’s O’Hara’s or nothing.
Mudville9 is a good lunch spot.
Also Trinity Place. Used to be a bank.
O’Hara’s is great. (@YouTheReader it was one of the very first I did (gave it a 9.6) but I gotta go back soon). I’m surprised there’s not more down there. I guess they have Stone Street too.
Yeah, it’s dead down there for the weekends so it’s all dive bars and bars supported by work Happy Hours.
…And Twins Fan Insider
When America was cool…
That commercial shaped my childhood.
Same here…
…and Twins!
(@YouTheReader thank goodness I’ve already been canceled so I can post something like this.)
Game of Thrones Fan Insider
Anotha one
Wow, so they’ll have this and House of Dragon?
Guess so
Pretty cool. @YouTheReader I looked up some details - HBO has ordered a new Game of Thrones prequel TV series. A new show called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, which is based on George R.R. Martin's Dunk and Egg book series, is officially on the way, WB Discovery announced during its "Max" event. The series will adapt Martin's book series that follows Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and a young Aegon V Targaryen (Egg). The books take place 90 years before the events of A Song of Ice and Fire. George R.R. Martin will be writing and executive producing. House of the Dragon is coming back for a second season, there is a Jon Snow series in development, and another prequel series reportedly focusing on Aegon I Targaryen's rise to power is in the works. NY Yankees & Jets Talk
4/7 ‘23
Roderick Arias is going to be awesome. He’s like 18 and probably the reason the Yankees will trade Peraza.
Yup, that makes sense. All for them using all their international $ every year on the top guy. (@YouTheReader Arias signed with the Yankees for $4 million out of the Dominican Republic. The Yankees have a TON of talented young shortstops in their system and Arias at 18 years old might be the most purely talented of the whole bunch. He’s 6’2” and switch hits. At the moment his ETA for the Bronx is set to around ‘27.)
Hopefully a 2-year lease.
(@YouTheReader I could for sure miss a day or two of Guinness Pints in order to show Aaron Rodgers the area’s public transportation. Speaking of which, I wonder if Aaron Rodgers enjoys a good pint of Guinness?)
4/9 ‘23
He sucks anyway.
Would’ve been a distraction. Don’t need him. Injured too often. Not a locker room guy. Me guy. @YouTheReader you would have to be a fool to want somebody like that on your team. Good riddance.
4/11 ‘23
This dude may be ready by mid-next year.
That would be huge.
(@YouTheReader this is about Spencer Jones. The Yankees’ 6’6” 21-year-old lefty outfielder is a stud prospect they drafted with the 25th Overall Pick in the ‘22 MLB Draft. With Jones in LF, Judge in CF, and Stanton in RF, there is a possibility that they could have the tallest outfield of all time sometime soon.)
My exchange with LG. PV Varsity is playing at TD Bank Ballpark and he gets to dress for the game…
“I’m hyped.
You should be. Did your coach mention anything about yesterday’s game?
He told me I looked great. I still can’t believe I’m going to be stepping on the same field that Anthony Volpe played on last year.”
That’s awesome.
Really cool, that’s what makes sports the best.
(@YouTheReader reading the exchange did not have me a bit choked up at work. I did not have to go to the bathroom for a minute to laugh at myself. That did not happen, I swear.)
JV game yesterday. 1 inning gave up a couple of hits, runs, and there were some errors. Other than that he was really good. 10 k’s in 4 innings. Throwing hard and his curveball is nasty.
@YouTheReader no big deal just a 22.5 Strikeouts Per 9 innings rate…👀
Thank you, Thank you, You’re Far Too Kind Words
@YouTheReader I’ll be honest, it feels weird posting nice comments that I receive. I never really know what to say back, but please know that I’m beyond grateful for the kind words. Yesterday, I ended on a negative comment from a month ago that I hadn’t even really thought about in weeks, it just popped up because I was going through the timeline. I feel like sometimes I only write about how even the slightest negative comment fuels me to work that much harder, but in reality a positive message like this is what really motivates me infinitely more.
Easter Sunday
@YouTheReader I had a very nice Easter Sunday with my family. It wrapped up with one of my younger cousins hitting an absolute moonshot in the Backyard with the Brook. This is the Wiffleball Field where I was first introduced to sports. My uncles played there first but my cousin, brother, and I had our fair share of games growing up. It is nice to see it put to good use. Also, I just want it to be Noted that the younger brother in the GIF who gave up the walk-off home run had just lost his two front teeth in a freak baseball practice accident where he got hit by a bat. Less than a week after the accident, eating only soft foods, under the strict guidance of the dentist to do no physical activity, and he’s out there pitching from 10 yards away from the batter’s box. That might sound nuts to some, but for those who get it, it’s why we love sports.
