Level XIII | Christoper Walken - The Lion | NY Yankees & Jets Banter | Critiquing The Critics (The Breakfast Club) | YouTube Rabbithole
Alright @YouTheReader,
In ‘24, His or Her Words, Not Mine has Levels by Avicii on in the background. It’s a happy song so I figured that would be better to throw up on people’s social media timelines every Thursday. If you ever find anything funny on the internet, have a story of your own you want to share, have your own insight on your favorite sports team, or even a Guinness recommendation, whatever it may be, please feel free to shoot over a text, direct message on social media, or email WeekToWeekNotes@gmail.com. You all have no idea how helpful you all are with this on Thursday’s pieces and just in general, it’s greatly appreciated!
The vocal sample to this tune comes from Etta James’ “Something’s Got a Hold on Me”, originally sung in 1962.
Moving on…
Oh yeah, with His or Her Words, Not Mine….

Christoper Walken - The Lion
“You watch those nature documentaries on the cable? You see the one about lions? You got this lion. He's the king of the jungle, huge mane out to here. He's laying under a tree, in the middle of Africa. He's so big, it's so hot. He doesn't want to move. Now the little lions’ cubs, they start messing with him. Biting his tail, biting his ears. He doesn't do anything. The lioness, she starts messing with him. Coming over, making trouble. Still nothing. Now the other animals, they notice this. They start to move in. The jackals; hyenas. They're barking at him, laughing at him. They nip his toes, and eat the food that's in his domain. They do this, then they get closer and closer, bolder and bolder. Till one day, that lion gets up and tears the shit out of everybody. Runs like the wind, eats everything in his path. Cause every once in a while, the lion has to show the jackals, who he is.” - (Christopher Walken in the movie Poolhall Junkies) You should watch the clip below, Walken’s acting makes the speech that much better.
I’ve watched this clip about 839,291,012 times in the past week. I highly recommend anybody that’s got people fookin’ with them to put it on. It’s become a staple in my mornings now as I sip my coffee. Last week, a high school freshman wrote a silly comment “WTF” on an Instagram post. Davy’s believe it or not, I don’t type Week to Week Notes to get into back-and-forths with kids worried about sharpening their #2 pencils for scantrons. So, I’ll always let a harmless comment like that slide every day of the week….but then, last Thursday, some grown-ass man felt the need to leave this comment below at 11 AM on a work day…
You should see the cast of characters that liked his comment. @d1_jasond encapsulates the bunch so we’ll use that profile…
Sidenote: I’ve never said a bad thing about the “(He/Him) community” but I’ve sensed a pattern that many of the He’s & Him’s don’t like me. Now look, I don’t tend to get all that many comments, but when I do, they shit, I don’t know if I did that right… tHEy are always in my comments section with negativity. I’d like to live in a world where everybody gets treated as individuals too where we treat others how you’d like to be treated but I guess I should stick to Jason’s words of virtue and stay humble 😌.
Back to @Andrew_XP, who sounds like a bot, but he ain’t. He’s got a private profile too with a hhhhhiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllariousssssss Y2K joke that I just might have to steal the next time I’m looking to make an awkward silence with friends….
👍 Enjoy your Thursday Andrew XP! 👍
Haha, boohoo, whatever, who gives a fook. I have much bigger fish to fry than a Y2K jokester already happy to swim with the fishes. People can roast me for my sports takes or music commentary all they want. Please go on right ahead, it’s content! Honestly, I don’t appreciate mental health jokes like his, but C’est La Vie. In the words of ‘Ol Blue Eyes, Some people get their kicks stomping on a dream, but That’s Life.
All of that above is just some utter nonsense that comes with the territory of typing stuff for the internet to read. It’s not real life and there are no consequences involved. I wrote it over the weekend but unfortunately this week, a real-life tragedy took place in New York City when a member of the NYPD, Jonathan Diller, was murdered by career criminals. I have friends who are in the NYPD and one of my best friends is a State Trooper. Anytime a tragedy like this happens I think about them and all the real-life nonsense they deal with on any given day. A 31-year-old was senselessly killed, leaving behind a widow and 1-year-old son who won’t grow up with his dad. The organization, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, has stepped up to help pay off the Diller family mortgage. Barstool Sports is also selling T-shirts where all money raised goes to the family. El Pres is also matching all proceeds. Bought one and if you’re interested here is the link.

What a beautiful morning!
Glorious. What were the odds Yamamoto would give up 5 runs in his first start? (Ohtani probably knows !!)
Lol also the Dodgers are an odd team.. Mookie Betts playing SS with an outfield of Teoscar Hernandez, James Outman, and Jason Hayward after spending all that money.
That really makes no sense lol
lol
Funny. What I should have been was “embarrassed”
Ultimately- we all were. What a debacle.
We forget he was an elite personal punt protector
Brutal
What weirrrd story
Some funny stuff. And there is no way the translator racked up over $4 million in gambling debts.
No way in hell
Has to be something much bigger, if he wasn’t involved why would he put himself in this situation
MLB will make it go away.

They should do this
For sure, would be a great deal and he doesn’t have much time at this point
Fake parody Twitter account…I think…But I would definitely do that. I think Nestor might stink.
Haha it got me, I’m not even sure after scrolling down her tweets.
Nestor = Wandy
I could go for that. He can’t get through the lineup more than once or twice it feels like

He’s ready
Not encouraging
They should sign Montgomery or IL him until he figures it out and let kids pitch to begin the year.
Will Warren or Gill - maybe both?
